Julia Wiedeman is a writer and performer based in NYC.
 
Her show, NAKED PEOPLE (Time Out Critic’s Pick) directed by Angela Dee, had an enormously successful run at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
 
Julia performs improv regularly in NYC with the musical improv team Dumpster Tequila, monoscene team Sheldrake Boothroy, and the particularly bizarre team The Weird Ones.
 
You can see her featured in comedy web videos from Landline TV, UCBComedy.com, Sidecar Comedy, and her own silly video series entitled Sister Time. Julia has also appeared on SNL as Penelope’s family member and performs regularly onstage at the Metropolitan Opera as a supernumerary in various roles.
 
Julia has entered and won The Dirtiest Sketch in NYC twice.
 
Trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade since 2007, Julia has worked with and learned from many talented professionals including Shannon O’Neill, Curtis Gwinn, Neil Casey, Anthony Atamanuik, and Will Hines.
 
Julia’s influences include Molly Shannon, John Cleese, Liza Minelli, Janet Jackson, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, Woody Allen, Dorothy Parker, and Mister James Carrey.
