Flight Facilities Flight Facilities

Aeronautical puns, secret identities and releasing music at a snails pace; This is what we know of Flight Facilities so far. Releasing only 3 original tracks to date, “Crave You,” “Foreign Language,” & most recently “With You.” The few things we draw may similarities between are: they all feature a very talented guest; Giselle Roselli, Jessica Higgs and Rob Smoughton aka Grovesnor.

While they don’t like to be pigeon-holed by genre, they are vocal about their influences. Drawing inspiration from acts, past and present, like ELO, Daft Punk, Chic, Mylo and more.

Their YouTube account has endured over 10 million clicks, with all three music videos having shown a fresh creative direction. From a New York-shot Moopjaw (Golden Filter, Neon Indian, Peaches) video for “Crave You,” featuring the styling of Christian Joy (Yeah Yeah Yeah’s / Karen O’s costume designer). A Hawaii 5-0 throwback by French director, Dimitri Basil, shot in some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks and venues, plus the Astroboy, Megaman and Daft Punk inspired anime from young animator Benjamin Drake (know also for his animated work with Gotye).

Remix and production wise, Flight Facilities are slowly building a reputation for delivery on every remix. With a selective approach to their remixes they have tastefully retouched the likes of Holy Ghost!, Cut Copy, The C90s, Miike Snow, Bag Raiders, The Lowbrows, Sneaky Sound System and Toecutter.

Flight Facilities have only just started their journey, with more originals due in 2012 and then, who knows? Singles, EPs and albums are all possibilities in the distant and not so distant future.
