Art Garfunkel Jr. is a singer, songwriter and raconteur whose journey in music began accompanying his father to performances around the world. Growing up in a musical family lit his artistic flame, but his more recent discovery of the great American interpreters of popular song such as Frank Sinatra and Mel Torme propels his current project, “An Evening with Art Garfunkel Jr.” Teamed with his friend and musical associate, Aaron M. Johnson (a veteran of the New York Jazz scene), the project explores the Great American Songbook without the sentimentality of a “nostalgia act”.
