Adam Levin has been praised by renowned American guitarist Eliot Fisk as a “virtuoso guitarist and a true 21st century renaissance man with the élan, intelligence, charm, tenacity and conviction to change the world” and the Washington Post for his “visceral and imaginative performance.” Mr. Levin has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South America, at renowned venues such as New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge, Atlanta’s Spivey Hall, Chicago’s Pick Staiger Hall, Boston’s Fraser Studio at WGBH, Jordan Hall, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Palazzo Chigi Saracini in Italy, the Berlin Universität für Musik und darstellende Künst, the Barcelona Auditorio Axa, and in Madrid at the Fundacion Juan March, Palacio de Godoy, BBVA Palacio del Marqués de Salamanca, and Sala Manuel de Falla. Levin has also performed with orchestras in Illinois, Connecticut, Bogota, Colombia, South America.

The recipient of numerous top prizes, Adam Levin has been recognized by Associación Cultural Trujamán, the Society of American Musicians, the Lake Forest Concerto Competition, Minnesota’s Schubert Competition, Boston GuitarFest, and Certamen Internacional Luys Milan de Guitarra in Valencia. In 2008, Levin was honored as a Fulbright Scholar in the field of music performance, researching contemporary Spanish guitar repertoire in Madrid, Spain. He was awarded the Program for Cultural Cooperation Fellowship, promoting cultural understanding between Spain and the United States and the Kate Neal Kinley Fellowship, for research and performance of contemporary Spanish music in Madrid. Levin has commissioned over 30 solo guitar works from four generations of Spanish composers and has a four-disc recording contract with Naxos to document all of these works.

A native of Chicago’s North Shore, Levin holds BM and BA degrees from Northwestern University in Music Performance, Psychology, and Pre-Med. Under the tutelage of Eliot Fisk, Levin completed a MM at New England Conservatory in Boston. His esteemed teachers have included Oscar Ghiglia, Gabriel Estarellas, Anne Waller, Mark Maxwell, and Paul Henry. Levin is co-director of the annual Boston Young Guitarists Workshop, co-founder of the non-profit organization Kithara Project, and teaches guitar at University of Massachusetts-Boston and the University of Rhode Island.
