The Engagements is a special events powerhouse. From classic funk and soul covers to 80’s favorites, this live band keeps everyone dancing.
 
The Engagements players have logged hours on the road with the likes of Q-Tip, Mos Def, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, Steely Dan, Rod Stewart, Bernie Worrell, Dr. Lonnie Smith, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, French Kicks, Whitney Houston, and The Isley Brothers.
 
Originally created to play at a picky (musician) friend’s wedding, the band has since entertained for weddings and parties of every size and ilk. Along the way, the group has built a reputation as a unique, “anti-wedding-band” wedding band.
 
The Engagements covers songs that haven’t been played to death at weddings, and always has fun doing it.
