#1 Kid is a band comprised of former and current members of the indie-dance band Rubblebucket. Their first EP ‘Boytones’ was released in 2013. The project features the songs of Adam Dotson(vocals, horns, keys) as well as the production of Ian Hersey(guitar). The project juxtaposes bouncy, frantic, sometimes jolting rhythmic structures with a folky, simple lyricism. #1 Kid has recently finished recording their second EP and will be releasing it in late 2016. The band also features Dave Cole on drums, Eric Lane on keys and Mark Stewart on bass.
